Are you totally sure that life was not happening in the three minutes when you were writing your post?
Anyway, tomorrow is the Big Day! Germany playing against Costa Rica to open up the World Cup. Why do I get the impression we won't be cheering for the same team?
I like costa rica, but they don't have a snowballs chance really. i haven't seen the results yet though so maybe i'll have to eat my words, a lot of small teams did amazingly well last year.
In my opinion germany and brazil are the two best shots at the cup this year.
The World Cup is the one where they kick around a black and white ball, right?
Honestly though, as much as I like soccer I don't think I've watched it since I was actually IN Costa Rica. I do remember reading that their team isn't expected to do spectacularly well this year...they need to recruit those kids from Zapotal!
I have to say, Costa Rica surprised me with how well they played today.
I've been seriously impressed by the smaller country teams since the last world cup. I find watching the big name teams play is all loaded with drama, crybabies, and dives.
The smaller teams go all out all the time cause they aren't sure if they'll be back in 4 years or not.
